A couple of weeks — ok, MONTHS — back Sabah and Myself hit up The General Greene for brunch. Duh.

I love this restaurant, really. I love the way they serve the dishes in cast iron skillets, and how they use real ingredients from local farms. I had the blood sausage omelet, and I can’t quite exactly remember what Sabah had. I’m going to blame the Irish coffee I enjoyed with my brunch on this day for this current bout of forgetfulness.

However, I was a little bit disappointed with the service at the General Greene. The hostess sat us, and we waited at our table without beverages for a good ten minutes before somebody decided to “check in” on us. At that point we had to force the “server” to take our order.

So, to reiterate, aside from the bum service the General Greene is an excellent Brunchable location. I give it 3 out of 5, um, Brunchables.
